PODALID<sup>®</sup>
PODALID® is a product designed to protect and repair plant wounds, induced or fortuitous, reducing further damage to the plant, allowing for its recovery. Wounds caused by pruning, mishandling, accidents, animals and natural agents, such as wind. When a wound is present, the living tissues become exposed and without protection. The unprotected tissues of the wound eventually undergo desiccation and become easily vulnereable to the attacks of pests and pathogens (fungi and bacteria), which eventually destroys them, and kills the affected organ or sometimes even the entire plant.
This product contains pruning paint, designed for the protection of pruning cuts and grafts on trees, of both fruit and forest, as well as ornamental.
It is formulated with protective agents that generate an increased defense in the crop, and creates a barrier against adverse environmental factors, such parasites and biodegradable microorganisms.
Although PODALID® is a product of low toxicity, it is advisable to use protective equipment (gloves, overalls, glasses and face mask) during the handling and application of this product.
